I Guess I'm Making Graphic Design Tools Now
So I made some tools. And I'm gonna be making a lot more. But I started out with two that I thought would be fun. I don't know why but I love the look of dithering on photos. Maybe you've seen it before. It's like all pixelated and stuff. I'm not gonna explain how it works, but the general idea is to add some randomization into where pixels are placed in gradients so they don't make hard cut-offs where the lighting and changes. So I whipped up this little tool that let's you add that effect on photos and short videos. It's got a few different algorithms and color schemes so you can play with it to get the look you want. And for the nerds that care, it's written in Rust and WebAssembly so it works fast and safely in your browser. Nothing gets uploaded to any server anywhere and I don't add any watermarks. So just have fun with it.
I've also been thinking a lot about deep fried photos lately. Don't ask me why. You might think it looks ugly... and yeah, it kinda does, but sometimes there's beauty in ugliness. So I made a Photo Deep Fryer tool too. It only does photos for now. But it might be possible to add video support soon. I'll work on it and see what I come up with. But yeah, have fun with it and fry your photos HARD.
What's the point of these tools? Honestly, I don't know. I hope people have fun with them. But really I just made em for myself to help out with my Graphic Design process. It's nice not to not need a full copy of Photoshop and all that just to do fun little stuff like this. So yeah, I just figured... why gatekeep? I'm gonna be adding more soon so like I said, stay tuned.
